Medical preventions

Hi there, this is an article about medical requirements before going to Vietnam. Before reading please know that I'm not in any possible way a medical expert. The advice that I will give you are from multiple people that I know and also by a doctor from the Pasteur Institute in Paris.

Alright so, as you might know, Vietnam can be a dangerous country in terms of infections. You can catch deseases in the water, by blood contact and I'm sure there are tons of other ways to grab an infection.

In order to prevent an infection, I recommend you to do what my doctor recommended me to do below.

As you can read (sorry for those who aren't french), there are a lot of vaccins to do depending on the length and the location of your stay.

I personnaly did "encéphalite japonaise" because I plan to visit rural places in Vietnam, I updated my "tetanos" vaccine (which I shoud've done a long time ago) and I also did the "typhoïde".

The Pasteur Institute also recommended me some medicine such as "racécadotril" in case of diarrhea, "INSECT ECRAN ZONES INFESTEES" to protect yourself from mosquitoes and therefore, any desease they may transmit you. You can also buy a mosquito net for the night, hydroalcoholic gel, eye liquid, water sanitiser, solar cream and a whole medical kit with antiseptic and band aids.

Please note that alcohol isn't an antiseptic, it's only useful to clean a wound. If you want to desinfect it, buy BETADINE.

That's about it for the medical stuff, if you have anything to add, please send me a message, I'll be happy to modify the article !

Have a good day and thank you for your time,

Your little traveler,

Charles
